Call for Tutorial Proposal

INDICON 2019 will feature pre-conference tutorials addressing fundamental and emerging topics. Tutorials will be scheduled on December 13th, 2019. Tutorials sessions will be in half-day format with morning or afternoon tutorial slots. Tutorial proposals should be emailed to the tutorial chair, Professor Atul Negi at [email protected] , by September 15th. Accepted tutorials will be notified by September 30th, 2019.

A tutorial proposal should include the following:
  • Title
  • Presenter/speaker name(s) and affiliations
  • Abstract with motivation ( upto about 300 words) followed by the sequence of presentation topics with sub-topics etc.
  • Additional logistic requirements needed from organizers for hands on etc. must be clearly indicated. Proposers may note that material requirements like IoT kits etc. will be charged to the participants and a full cost planning of these should be given. The proposers themselves must make the arrangements of bringing all equipment to the tutorial venue. All materials charged to participants must be released to the registered participants.
  • Additional outline if needed
  • Presenter/speaker biography especially citing any previous experience in speaking and training or hosting workshops and tutorials
  • Links to the presenter/speaker web page

The proposal should not exceed four pages in 1.5 space, Times 12 point font.

The tutorial speaker is to organize slides and other tutorial/presentation material to engage for about three hours. A break in between for about 15-20 minutes of the sessions should be planned for.

Topics Suggested:

Deep Learning, Machine Learning, IoT, Data Analytics, Block Chain, Smart Grids, Green Computing etc.

The organizer of INDICON 2019 will extend a complimentary conference registration and hospitality including accommodation during the days of the conference to the accepted tutorial speakers.
